We have now been in Thailand for exactly one week. We've had some tough days, and now the game is finally over. Today there were two things planned: a technical challenge and the award ceremony.

We first started preparing for our technical challenge. The technical challenges are certain tasks that your robot must be able to perform. Each team could choose from a handful of such tasks. We chose the penalty, in which case you have to program the robot so that the robot is upside down facing the goal, then turns 180 degrees and then scores a goal. We only succeeded after a number of attempts, so we didn't get many points for this, but at least we succeeded. Some teams (Mexico and Australia) chose to participate in the onstage league as a challenge. In this league teams make a robot that can dance and they often dance too. This was very nice to see.

Then the awards took place. First we were told the prizes of the onstage league. We weren't expecting a prize anyway so this wasn't very exciting for us but we were curious to see who would win. There are different categories: best overall, best poster and presentation, best design, super team and then just first, second and third place for the individual competitions. The Japanese team Shinobi won the overall prize. The best design went to Epsilon 6 from Australia and the best poster/presentation went to Bodensee Adler from Germany. For the individual matches, Italy was in first place, Germany in second and Japan in third.

We thanked and greeted the referees and the other teams. We also took a photo with the Dutch team Tech United. They took first place and are very good in their competition. What was really nice is that we give out stickers to all teams, and many teams actually used the stickers. So now the whole world will see our team. To end the day we went to McDonalds. In the apartment we still played to play the game Spyfall. The next day we all leave for a new location…
